This bible verse memory set is
centered on pairs of verses based on our position in Christ (what
God has given us in Christ - i.e. who and what we are in God's sight
right now) and our practice of Christ (what we are called to do in
response to the truth of what God has done for us). We are fully
righteous in Christ, but we are also called to be righteous in deed.
That process of becoming in practice who we already are in position
is called sanctification. These verses provide a way to
remind ourselves of our calling and our service. We are a holy and
righteous people, a royal priesthood, who live by faith alone, but
not by a faith which is alone.
